"What I learnt and obtained from this project was teamwork and undefined friendships among us. EIP 2018 REFLECTIONS: ABANG MANJE

"Until this day, I am convinced that I am not 100% forgot all the memories and exciting feeling in doing physics stuff with the children." From our social engagement programme, named Empowering Interest in Physics there were many things I had learned from during 3 days and 2 nights of organising it. For  the pre-programme, the preparation for the programme was made as early as approximately 3 months before the event was started to avoid last minute works. After all the discussion, I had been chosen to be the coordinator for the programme and assigned to lead my team as many as 15 first year student from the same department which is Department of Physics, Faculty of Science University Malaya. I had experienced on how to become a good leader and make a wise decision during critical time. EIP 2018 REFLECTIONS: KAK LINGES

"Seeing those students being beguiled in the enchantment of physics, was something to take pride in." Initially when I got to know that we have to take up the social engagement course as it is compulsory for all first-year undergrads, it really kind of ruffled my feathers. We already had a bunch of projects in residential college, and now this!!! Then one fine day, there was some lecture on this course and then we had to form a team. My team, I rarely knew those peoples, although they’re from physics course as well. Then we distributed job scope and tasks.  I was in the protocol bureau together with Ash, Ju and Harith. At first, I faced difficulties managing time for this project, because I saw it as a project and I didn’t really prioritize it. But then, I realized.
