"I was so pleased to see them actively involved in the activities. At that moment, I felt like finally I had contributed something to society."   When I was asked to create a programme that can raise the interest of students in physics, actually I didn’t have any expectations. Although the idea is good, I was very uninterested as it is very time-consuming. Besides that, I didn’t know any of my group members so I was thinking that how am I going to work with someone who I don’t know. I was worried and stressed. But after I approached them, I changed my mind. They are very friendly. They treated me just like their family. At that time, I was touched. I felt very comfortable working with them. We began our discussion and start planning. During the preparation stage, we faced lots of challenges and difficulties. We had to plan what activities are suitable for the students. "Until this day, I am convinced that I am not 100% forgot all the memories and exciting feeling in doing physics stuff with the children." From our social engagement programme, named Empowering Interest in Physics there were many things I had learned from during 3 days and 2 nights of organising it. For  the pre-programme, the preparation for the programme was made as early as approximately 3 months before the event was started to avoid last minute works. After all the discussion, I had been chosen to be the coordinator for the programme and assigned to lead my team as many as 15 first year student from the same department which is Department of Physics, Faculty of Science University Malaya. I had experienced on how to become a good leader and make a wise decision during critical time. "Saya berharap program seperti ini dapat dijalankan lagi kerana program ini memupuk semangat kerjasama dalam diri pelajar di samping dapat mendedahkan pelajar sekolah tentang menariknya subjek Fizik."   Program yang saya terlibat adalah program Empowering Interest in Physics . Program ini adalah untuk menarik minat pelajar sekolah agar meminati Fizik bukan semata-mata kerana peperiksaan tetapi untuk diaplikasikan dalam kehidupan seharian. Sebelum program ini berlangsung, saya telah dilantik untuk menjadi setiausaha program bagi menyiapkan kertas kerja. Sepanjang proses saya menyiapkan kertas kerja, saya banyak dibantu oleh rakan-rakan dalam memperoleh maklumat berkaitan program. "I think we achieved our objective; to nurture the love of Physics amongst students."   I was a bit skeptical and unconvinced at the first place about this program. I didn’t have any problem being in this group as I familiar and closed with some of them. Frankly speaking, I didn’t prioritize this program at the beginning and I took granted for that. And why am I skeptical with this group? Maybe because of late group meeting, venue deciding and program planning. As compared to other groups, we were a bit left behind. The pressure that we had to face was no chill. But, everything started to go smoothly after we were brainwashed by our Coordinator, Azman. He said that, we have to concentrate and devote our time in this program as it is counted in our CGPA. "Through this programme, personally, it gave me the confidence to socialize with people more and to help those in need. And also it makes me want to spread the love of physics to more high school students."   At first I found myself really anxious because I have to work with the people I barely knew at that time. I kept questioning myself whether or not I could get myself fit into the circle of the group. I mean I’ve seen them around but we didn’t know each other. My thoughts on this project? Honestly, at the very beginning, I felt unsure on how it was going to work and I thought that this thing was not going to work out well  since even the first meeting was held quite late compared to the other groups. Everyone seemed busy focusing on other things like assignments and their college projects. "Secara peribadinya, program bersama para pelajar ini merupakan satu program yang telah membuka peluang kepada para mahasiswa untuk menghapuskan prejudis dan sekaligus menambahkan minat kepada para pelajar terhadap subjek Fizik." Pada 13-15 April 2018, kumpulan “The Next Einstein” telah mengadakan satu projek “Empowering Interest in Physics” untuk Jalinan Masyarakat di Sekolah Menengah Teknik Kuala Lumpur yang terletak di Kuala Lumpur. Peserta program ini kebanyakkannya terdiri daripada pelajar tingkatan 4 yang menyertainya secara sukarela. Pertama sekali saya ingin memanjat kesyukuran yang tidak terhingga ke hadrat Ilahi kerana saya telah diberi peluang untuk melibatkan diri secara lansung dalam menjayakan Projek Jalinan Masyarakat ini. Saya telah diberikan tanggungjawab oleh pengarah projek untuk menjadi ahli jawatankuasa bagi unit Multimedia dan Teknikal. "Seeing those students being beguiled in the enchantment of physics, was something to take pride in." Initially when I got to know that we have to take up the social engagement course as it is compulsory for all first-year undergrads, it really kind of ruffled my feathers. We already had a bunch of projects in residential college, and now this!!! Then one fine day, there was some lecture on this course and then we had to form a team. My team, I rarely knew those peoples, although they’re from physics course as well. Then we distributed job scope and tasks.  I was in the protocol bureau together with Ash, Ju and Harith. At first, I faced difficulties managing time for this project, because I saw it as a project and I didn’t really prioritize it. But then, I realized. "Walaupun sudah seminggu berlalu, program kami masih lagi disebut sebut di bibir pelajar di SMTKL." Empowering Interest in Physics ataupun dikenali sebagai EIP merupakan nama program yang telah dipersetujui oleh semua ahli kumpulan kami. Program ini diadakan Sekolah Menengah Teknik Kuala Lumpur ataupun secara ringkasnya SMTKL. Saya sendiri merupakan alumni SMTKL tahun 2015. Pada awalnya, saya berasa agak bimbang kerana saya akan membawa nama Universiti Malaya ke SMTKL. Saya dan Ashshidiq telah pergi ke sekolah untuk menguruskan beberapa urusan rasmi yang diperlukan bagi projek EIP ini dapat berjalan dengan lancar. Saya telah ditugaskan dalam Biro Multimedia dan Teknikal di mana saya bekerja bersama Izzat, Auzan dan Adda. " Jangan tidur dalam kelas, fokus, supaya nanti tak menyusahkan diri." Kumpulan saya telah ditugaskan untuk menjalankan satu program di sekolah bagi menarik minat pelajar dalam mata pelajaran fizik. Kitorang telah bermesyuarat bagi membahagikan tugas. Saya diberikan tugas sebagai biro multimedia dan teknikal. Sebagai biro multimedia kitorang ditugaskan untuk membuat banner, membuat poster, membuat baju program dan membuat video sebelum program, kami Berjaya menyelesaikan semua tugasan pada masa yang ditetapkan. Selain tugas sebagai biro multimedia dan teknikal, setiap ahli kumpulan ini juga ditugaskan sebagai fasilitator. Kitorang perlu membuat persediaan yang rapi sebagai fasilitator bagi memastikan program berjalan dengan lancar. Setibanya hari program, kitorang telah bergerak ke SMKTL menaiki kereta. "What I learnt and obtained from this project was teamwork and undefined friendships among us. Even when our team is made up of students from different races, our team does not have any problem or issue due to that."   Okay ..Actually I don’t really find anything fun about this social engagement course as soon our lectures announced about it.The first meet for social engagement itself our lecture divided us into a few groups.In my group,I was only close to Linges while with the other physic coursemate I am not that close.I collected all my group members numbers and created whatsapp group.We discussed about the organisation for our social engagement.I didn’t get to attend the first meet of our group as I was in an urgent going back home.
